New From Applied Concepts Inc.:
I-LiteTM and I-Drive3TM LED Drivers
for LED backlit LCD panels
|
Applied Concepts Inc. has announced the introduction of two new, complete full-function LED driver boards. I-Drive3™ and I-Lite™ are the latest generation of ACI’s patent-pending I-Drive™ family, a series of complete LED driver solutions for high-bright light emitting diodes (HBLEDs). Simple to connect and operate, the I-Drive™ Series can support a wide range of output current and voltage levels to complement every high bright LED application as required.
I-Drive3™ is capable of powering a single channel of series connected LEDs up to 15 watts maximum, and is intended primarily for use with ACI’s turnkey engineered edge-lit LED backlighting solutions for LCD panels.
| |
I-Lite™ can drive up to 6 parallel channels of series connected LEDs at constant current, up to 8 watts maximum at approximately 50V.
This driver offers the industry’s smallest footprint package, and comes in two configurations, common-cathode and common-anode, which are commonly used by LCD manufacturers in factory LED backlit LCD panels.
In addition, the I-Lite™ platform features a maximum intensity selector switch which can be used to set the maximum output current, thereby enabling the user to tailor the current to match a variety of LED panels and configurations.

I-Drive3™ and I-Lite™ Driver Features:
| True DC constant current source |
On board dimming reaches 50,000:1 |
| Compatible with LED backlit displays from major LCD OEMs or ACI LED rails and display modifications |
Lowest EMI (transformerless, non-PWM dimming) |
| Intensity selector switch on-board |
